Not a Conker

I almost blipped a rainbow today, but it had gone before I could pick up the camera. We had a short sharp thunderstorm late this afternoon and now it is sunny again.

This is not a conker, but it is a Sweet Chestnut which looks the same; I found it earlier today. I plan to plant it to see if it will grow; I already have one Sweet Chestnut tree in the garden, but there is room for a second one.

After I had posted my blip, what walks into the garden, these two. They arrived at dusk and so the pictures are a little 'grainy'. They stayed for four minutes before heading off somewhere else.
