A pod, I think.

Centre of a flower. I was too lazy to get my tripod out so I nipped one of these little things off, held it in a clothes peg, sat it on the garden table and shot it !

No idea what the flowers are called. They were planted before I came here to look after my mum and they come up every year, are pale pinky white and I really ought to tidy them up as they are a bit rampant really.
