Sparrows

Between us and next door there is a huge hebe hedge which, when we are eventually using our new sitting room, will be what we look across to from the side window. Bearing this in mind I have been hacking it back down to a more reasonable height, so that we can more see more of the sea. Luckily the house is empty, and the owner is abroad!

I thought the sparrows would take a while to get used to it, but they were back in residence almost immediately. Meanwhile, in the back garden, I saw the first robin of the winter. Hope he decides to stay . . .
