Our usual place, a well kept secret, has become awful after the owner retired and left the business to be run by her son. No more cooking fish to order, they are now pre-cooked and then fried again on order to heat them so the fish ends up overcooked, dry and the batter saturated with cooking fat. A disaster. L'alba Doro comes a close second to our once beloved secret chippy.
