collar issues

Well I am making attempts to photograph my collars and leashes for a new catalog on my own now. I am no professional so I am sure whatever I am doing would be a good giggle for someone who is. Any insights on taking shots of objects like this would be appreciated. This was just horsing around actually. I had tried to get shots of India the newf wearing my collars and that was a complete muck up.
