Not every day

Do Not Abandon Me

G and I were sat outside the RWA (Royal West of England Academy) in Bristol having a tea and cake, when we noticed that the traffic, including a double decker bus, had been held up by a scruffy old van whose driver was poking around, with little effect, under the bonnet. Before the bus driver lost patience a passing group of young men offered a push. The van driver's partner joined in (and we didn't, I'm very mildly ashamed to say).

I'm sure Damien Hirst would have enjoyed the scene. What Louise Bourgeois and Tracey Emin would have made of it I can only imagine.
