What a difference a day makes!
Dreich is the word I think.
We travelled on the Jacobite steam train to Mallaig today and had drizzle all the way. The cloud was low and with smoke from the train and steamy windows it was difficult to see the best of one of the most scenic train journeys in the world!
We found a pub with an open fire in Mallaig and on the return journey discovered some opening windows between carriages which enabled me to take some pictures.
This is Loch Ailort and I love the islands with the 'leggy' Scots Pines so archetypal of the western highlands. I like the movement and autumn colour in the trees in the foreground too.
I have back blipped yesterday here
