Treasure Hunt $uccess

I finally decided to leave my bank and open an account with Mission Federal Credit Union, which I've been meaning to do for years. As a perk, I was awarded $25 from them for doing so. YAY!

So, I promptly headed for the thrift store to do some treasure hunting, and I scored this massive wall piece you see here for a mere $10. That's right. Score. It looks like some kind of Jackson Pollock wannabe. The title of the painting is, "This is your brain on a Starbucks mocha latte with an extra shot". I thought, that's funny...this is perfect for me. Haha...

Purchasing this large painting prompted a re-arranging of wall decor in my living room. The end result is what you see here. (Sorry neighbors!)

Jason also found me a sweet vintage Pepsi glass and I discovered an awesome plaque thingy that reads, in German, "Good eating and drinking keep body and soul together." You can actually see that in this photo as well, on the middle shelf. Both of those items totaled a whopping $1.

I also found the items I needed to complete my Halloween costume, as well as Lily's costume...and I only spent $20 on the whole trip. What a deal.
