That's a lot of ducks

Living in Tokyo has many advantages, such as shopping, activities, and all of the other conveniences of living in a metropolis of 40 million people. But all of these advantages come with a cost.... sharing them with millions of other people!!

I took this photo today to give you an idea of just how insanely crowded and stressful it is to live in Tokyo. I wish you could also hear the non-stop roar of people, to really get an idea.

I long for the days where I grew up living in the forests of Canada. This is one main reason why my fiance and I, both of us Japanese citizens, will leave Tokyo and start a new life in the much smaller and natural city of Vancouver. We could of course, move to a smaller city here in Japan, or even to the island I love so much, Hachijojima. However, there is not much work available in the countryside...... which is why there are 40 million people in Tokyo.... Everyone is here to work!

6 more months, then I can finally not hear hte roar of people. 6 more months, and I will finally not have nightmares of giant ducks eating people. 6 more months, and I will probably realize how much I miss and love this crazy city... :)
