My Second Day
I wasn't too tired this morning which was good, I think I got about 10 hours sleep, which is impressive, I don't usually sleep that well! I got up and got dressed and then Stacey told me that I was going on a game drive this morning with Siseko.
It was lovely. The sun was shining and all the animals were wandering about. We saw the giraffe first, there were two young males who were play fighting, which involves swinging their heads at each other's necks. There were also two very young giraffe who were really sweet. Then we saw the zebra and other antelope.
After this we drove along a road by the river and discovered a young bull elephant walking towards us, so we had to reverse up the path, then we allowed it to pass and followed it. We nearly got stuck between that elephant and another young bull that came wandering along. So we drove along another road for a while to let them move on and then went back and they had gone, as we needed to use that bit of road to get across the river.
Then we went and saw the Cheetah. This was my favourite bit as Cheetah are my absolute favourite. They had caught a juvenile Eland this morning and the mother Cheetah and her five cubs were eating it. We sat and watched them for a while and I took lots of photos.
Then we drove around for a little longer, saw the buffalo, tortoises and some more antelope before coming back to the house. We had lunch and then Will came to collect me to go and look at a bull with a sore foot. It was pretty interesting. Then we came back to the house and chatted about what I will be doing while I am here.
