Chuckin' it Down

Most of the morning it was raining here, or as we say in Yorkshire....Chuckin' it Down. Now is this just a regional saying or is it said all over the UK? Raining Cats and Dogs, I presume is nationwide and when we were in Greece it was said to be Raining Chair Legs. It cleared up and this Marsh Harrier came out....best I got unfortunately, but beautiful sight.
