The alarm went off at 6 am even though it was Saturday. I re-checked my gear and she started applying her make-up. Out the door just as the sun was about to rise. A bus ride and some mountaineering before reaching the location. You could see the first rays of the sun above horizon. Some mist was still lingering on the surface of the river below.

One Speedlite 580 II on camera right shot through a 100cm brolly as main light. The raising sun filled in the shadows cast by the main maybe at -1 to -2 stops.

She performed gracefully and brought these shots to life. After freezing her heiny off during the one hour shoot in the nippy morning wearing nothing but what is seen here, she had well deserved her hot chocolate and freshly baked croissants. We napped through the whole of afternoon after seeing the successful photos. Truly a Saturday to remember! Not least because we have these shots to remind us.
