beauty from devastation

We had a lovely day. Another hot one so the 3 of us went to Battersea Park for a picnic and a turn on the boats. On the way home we came across this sculpture made from the twisted steel girders of the World Trade Center. Really strange to experience it up close, cannot comprehend what these pieces of metal have been through. The fact that it was in Battersea park was also slightly surreal. Beautiful though.
