Blipper's Daily (?)

After the dismal weather ysterday it wasn't half bad at all today, quite mild (if a bit windy). So I set out, accompanied by eldest son, for a more through explore down at the Kincardine shore. After being briefly distracted by another potential Bliptagging target we went to investigate the wooden structures being revealed by the falling tide.

Apparently there are twenty or so wrecks in the mud off of Kincardine, this one has been identified as that of a 19th century salmon fishing boat of wooden construction. It measures 13m in length and 4m in beam and has a transom stern. I think I'll be going back a few times at low tide to see the other wrecks (including the largest which is thought to be a cattle ferry dating from circa 1828).

In the background is the Kincardine Swing Bridge which was, when it was constructed, the longest swing bridge in Europe.
