Derby Eye

Popped over to Derby to pick up some stuff and although wanted to get some National Forest images the light was just too bad. This temporary structure is currently touring.

Derby is potentially facing some severe problems with Arts Funding from the City Council as a way of meeting budget shortfalls. The paucity of ambition never fails to amaze me when it comes to that bunch. Format 11 was very successful and brought into the City a lot of revenue in other ways by people staying over, accessing shops, bars etc. Why do these people see the Arts as an easy way to cut budgets! I suspect the Council House is still getting its £34 million makeover.
