Sculpture
I've often driven past the sign for the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, but never visited it before. My reason for doing so today was to test drive a car, so nothing to do with art. However, the artwork became more interesting than the car...
This blip is of part of an exhibition of work by a Spanish sculptor, Jaume Plense and this piece is made of hollow silicone of some sort, lit from below. The things that look grey stones at the bottom are actually white pieces of the same silicone, but the ambient lighting used to take the shot make them look much darker than they actually are.
I have no idea of the significance of the words he's used, but all of his work is a combination of shape, light and lettering used in a similar sort of way.
