No Pain, No Gain

I got a tattoo to commemorate our trip today, a piece of Native American art local to the Vancouver area.

I had planned to blip it, but a mixture of forgetting it would be bandaged up and being in unbelievable pain mean you get this gloomy shot I took before I went in instead.

I've had smaller tattoos before and they honestly barely hurt. This one was bigger and on my back though, and the amount of pain involved knocked me sideways.
It took well over three hours to complete, and in the words of the artist himself 'most people tap out around the the three hour mark because of the pain and come back later to get it finished'.

I can relate.
