White Camellia

Ready to grace the day the sun gently lit this white camellia. The golden stamens were vibrant with a warm glow coming from the centre while above the sky was blue and the air was still.

Little did we know a change was to happen - a bitter wind began to blow sending spent blooms and leaves swirling through the air, picking up gritty dust and pollen leaving us humans with snuffling noses, runny eyes and shivering from cold in our shoes. The sky changed to a haze which then turned dull grey as the day progressed but the wind did not let up and is still swirling and howling round our property.
