Coming in to Harwich. First sight of Britain for 90 days. That is pretty unusual in the modern world, but it was not so long ago that travelling always meant being away from home for very long periods, sometimes several years.
You can see the pilot boat in this photo - not there to guide us so much as to let the sailing boats know where the ferry is heading so they can get out of the way. We had been held up on the approach to let a container ship out, since they only allow one big ship at a time in the channel.
Then a drive home and time to unpack.
