Last Day
Well all good things must come to an end, and our weeks Safari is over, before the holiday, if I am honest I wasnt looking forward to it, as this isnt what I would call a holiday, but I have been pleasantly surprised, putting the altitude problems aside, I am glad I agreed to go.
On our way out of the Camp gates this morning, we were greeted by a pack of Hyena, having made a kill and were devouring it.
Hyena although very doglike in features, are more feline than we are led to believe, they have a rough tongue, their grooming, scent marking and defecating habits, mating and parental behaviour are more like a cat.
We had a 6hr journey back to Nairobi, very tiring, we had a toilet stop high up in the mountain range, looking down into the Great Rift Valley, giving us time to take some pics, and once again be hounded by the sellers of the Curio shops - not not something I will miss.
Once back at the Somak lounge in Nairobi, we had our lunch, and then around 4pm we were trucked over to the Airport ready for our 6pm flight to Mombasa for our weeks holiday by the beach...........oh yes.
