But they just keep dying. Can't get the thing to grow at all.

Today was chapter 2 in the seamless & transparent process of me working at my company's client. I got there at my usual time and as a special treat, I got the message "Ihr Konto ist abgelaufen". That means "Your Account has expired". That's not great given I've only been there 2 and a half days. I told my contact and she made the phone calls and told me it should be fixed by lunchtime.

So then they said I could go and get my ID Card. I can go to one of two offices for that, they said. I made my choice based on what train was due next at the train station. That was a mistake. 10 minutes later I was taking another train to the other office. Still, it had stopped raining.

I now have an id card where I look like an odd cousin of Mr Potato Head. And no, you're not getting to see it. The rest of the day went on in that vein. Mondays are just rubbish sometimes.
