I have no idea is this Neo-grecian or Romanesque or even Tolkienian. It is however very impressive.

I walk passed stuff like this every day and every now again I have to stop and look and ask myself how it ever came about that someone thought this was a good way to decorate a door. And then again how time passes and the doorway falls from being the entrance to a bank or a church and becomes a coffee shop.

Is that what is going to happen to all those purpose built glass and steel buildings in a hundred years? Will our children's children drink the equivalent of cappuccino whilst looking from the window of the governor of the bank of England's office?
