bring me sunshine...

So, this sunflower is growing in the large tub by the front door. We didn't plant it - the seed must have either travelled there independently or been in the compost that we planted the large hosta in (see here).

Anyhoo, the hosta is now 'dying back' and the sunflower is flowering, despite it being late and small and not in the sun... ah well - things are never straight forward here!
