Sister Sophie
Here is the first Big sister little brother picture combo!
Only Mums, Dad/partners, brothers/sisters and grand parents are allowed where this picture was taken so Sophie had something of a hot ticket!
Aunty's and Uncles Nephews and Nieces along with all the friends need to form an orderly queue and make do with photographs I'm afraid.
The look on Sophie's face says a lot. First up, she's looking straight at the camera, something that doesn't always happen! Her facial expression is one of a hundred questions.... the machinery, plastic see through cots with windows, lots of babies all of whom are sound asleep to guess just a few.
She spoke up and introduced herself. I was most proud. She brought him his first Teddy and left it on the top of the incubator looking down on little brother Leo.
She couldn't quite work out his age though... Nor the 'black thing and washing peg' coming from his belly button.
But we all finish the day, feeling happy!
Leo was moved from the Neonatal ward and is now back with Mum. Lots of visitors wearing those cheap looking green overall suits need to pop in from time to time but it's an easy compromise.
So my staple diet of cheap tasting coffee and sandwiches remains. For now.
No great hardship.
Well don son. We'll be out soon, I know.
