Well we did actually leave the hotel planning to do the latter two, but when we wandered past the harbour RCB started worrying the Gulls, Mrs L then fancied a scone and hot chocolate - then RCB worried the Turnstones & Knot on the south beach and finally we all had a wander round the old town - A good blip friend told me it's best to have flexible plans, that was certainly true today as we ended up having an absolutely cracking day by being exceedingly flexible with our plans i.e. completely ignoring them. Better not completely ignore this evenings plans though as they are to meet up with said good blip friend - H2.

I'd had reservations on where to meet, which is why H2 suggested checking out a highly rated Thai Restaurant or even driving over to Beverly but when we found ourselves this morning having scones in a pub / cafe / restaurant which had a view over Bridlington harbour, an A3 laminated dinner menu advertising elegant dining alongside a picture showing plastic chairs and bare tables, it just had to be here.

So how did it go?

Cracking, simply cracking - the restaurant actually was elegant and the food actually quite superb - they really undersell themselves with that laminated menu and H2 is such a lovely lady it was always going to be a cracking evening no matter what. Mind you it's interesting the turns conversations can take. There was H2 telling us that if she was in prison for murder she would still always tell the truth no matter what. Such a nice lass xx.
