Street
One of things you may not know about Tokyo is that you often find TVs just sitting in the street. I used to take photos of them all, but there are so many it was getting too easy!
The TVs (and other large rubbish) are there because there isn't really a place to throw them away at; you have to call a special company to come whatever it is you don't want anymore. The only thing is that it costs about 20 quid a TV, so people just dump their stuff out in the street during the night.
The other thing is that some of these modern rag-and-bone men drive around the streets with a huge speaker (and sometimes it can comically big) strapped to the top of their van playing an announcement of the kinds of things their will take away for you (if you cough up the cold, hard cash). Some days, four or five of these guys can slowly creep around the area disturbing everyone and waking people up if it's a Sunday morning. Now I work from home it's even more irritating!
At the moment I have two computers and a TV to get rid of. That's at least 50 quid and I totally begrudge giving money to these evil rag-and-bone men. Oh, what to do?
And for shameless self-promotion, have you checked the Blip Blog out lately? ;)
