Change of cast
Today I spent a ridiculous amount of time at the hospital so the fracture specialist could give his verdict. He marvelled at my horrendous x-ray then sent me to get it cast properly. The plaster nurse then set about freeing my fingers then wrapping me in fibreglass (I chose yellow because...well my blip-mates should know why I chose yellow). She also marvelled at my x-ray and had everyone in the plaster room 'oo' and 'ahh' at it. I was then x-rayed again to make sure my arm was still in there and was sent home.
OK, I was there a long time but my two experiences at Frimley Park hospital have been excellent. I know people like to have a go at the NHS but I couldn't fault them.
I may still need an operation but not for a while and it probably has nothing to do with the wrist. Yay!
