Apocalypse Seen in a Vertical Mattress
Hawking says that our attempts to create order only create greater chaos. I clean up and send it all to the trash. It goes to a landfill to increase the disorder the universe. Small order, BIG chaos. Even the caloric effort I have generated to place a vase burns through the universe as thermal confusion. The spare bedroom is being repainted (yes, same red as the office - further chaos in the chromatic spectrum) so that any blippers who drop by can photograph it. (What? You thought I was going to host you?) So the living room has become a vast vortex of entropy through my selfish attempts to order 120 square feet of sleeping space. And there, too, what appears to be true from my exceedingly limited human vantage in my momentarily serene "room" is slipping from the atomic scale to the universal scale into the randomness of the stars. Change has already begun defacing it. All that I am left with is a still photograph which is also fading away. Thank god all of you are dying and I won't be accountable for too long.
