Preferential residents

Our village is home to many many ducks and all enjoy a status above that of 'protected species'. I quite enjoy seeing the main street come to a stand-still as they cross the road in a very leisurely un-threatened manner. They are on our pavements, in our garden and even on the Primary School sweatshirt and 'book carriers' as the school logo.
Steal the vicar's washing or stick your tongue out at the local 'bobby' but never ever harm the ducks!
