Labs

Not the most interesting photo, but I wanted to show what the majority of my day normally consists of. Here we were in 'Labs' - which is like the practical, hands on side to lectures. Sometime we look at samples ect., but today we were just making (more) graphs and examining the migration of the earth's plates.

You can see the demonstrator making use of Google Earth to look at some island arc chains on the Pacific plate, which can be used to measure the movement of the plates over millions of years.

In between lectures I had a nice tea with Poppea in the Chaplaincy, read El País and a bit more of Cloud Atlas. Baked potato with haggis and beans for lunch!
