New Art Gallery

Today I went to see the Edgar Martins - This Is Not A House exhibition at the Walsall New Art Gallery. It was very good, he's shot many houses that have been abandoned in the US due to the economic crisis that started in 2008.

One of best features of this show is that he has shot a lot on a large 5'x4' plate camera, which means that the prints are HUGE and incredibly detailed. There are also some long exposures of some houses where car headlights have been used to direct illumination onto the scene which has given the photos a real ambience. I highly recommend checking it out if you are nearby, it runs until 24th December 2011.

Other than that, today I listened to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Manchester Orchestra, & Jeniferever.
