Vineyard art

Every now and then in the Languedoc countryside you'll see a little stone building in the middle of a vineyard. It's called a mazet. Built to give a little shade to vineyard workers in the summer and to pickers during the vendange, many of these lovely little buildings have fallen into rack and ruin or been graffittied. A few years ago a new initiative transformed some of them into rural canvases with scenes painted on entire walls. It's rather wonderful coming across one of them in the middle of nowhere.
