Not-so Silvery Tay (aka the failed experiment)
Quick trip down to Kingoodie to try something new - long exposure night shooting. I was hoping that, like last night, it would clear up a bit and I'd get the moon on my favourite bend on the stream that flows into the Tay at low tide (well, it flows in on all tides, but you can only see its course at low tide!) But the clouds were too thick, so not nearly enough light or moonshine for a silvery shot. Instead it was all washed out by the orange streetlamps, and when I went away from them I discovered that my cameras slowest speed (30s - is that normal?) was not quite slow enough.... So this will have to do, I actually quite like it!
Now off to do the ironing with the help of a beer and a disaster movie :)
Thank you all so much for your kind comments on Mondays 200 celebration. Sorry I haven't replied to all. I am very grateful, particularly to those who drop in regularly, your kind comments always mean so much and are giving me increasing confidence (not something I'm overloaded with) in my photography. So thank you very much!
