Animation!

Some stuff I was setting up this afternoon.

Every Wednesday afternoon I run an animation group with the kids/young people at work. We make stop-motion animated films. It's pretty unstructured mostly: we just play with the stuff, try different techniques and see what happens. We can make bananas peel themselves, make abstract patterns move across sand or make furniture come to life and attack people!

It's brilliant fun and I am constantly amazed by what people come up with. Often they're a bit stumped at first but once they have a go and suss it out, what they produce is always fantastic. It always reinforces to me how much creative potential absolutely everyone - without exception - has within them. Let it free!
