there are some really interesting people here - including the father of a well known columnist and writer - shortlisted for the Booker Prize, and writing columns for such papers as the Guardian, Herald, NY Times, Washington Post. his father worked for many years in the docks in Glasgow, and is a real live wire. after a shaky start (my misunderstanding of his cutting humor and astute observations of the human condition), I think we're going to get on.
