past and present

There is an up to date timelessness to this photo of an Arab community just outside the green line (whatever that may really mean). There are cars, paved streets, black sun heated water containers on the roofs of the apartment buildings and a minaret for calling the Muslum to prayers for the destruction of Israel in the hazy distance.
This is a shot from my living room window at about 9 A.M in October 2011.
