Why are pirates called pirates?
CAUSE THEY ARRRGHH
So it was charity day today, so all the sixth formers (or those who could be bothered) dressed up as pirates. However we weren't allowed to wear eyepatches, peg-legs, to carry weapons, or live birds. It's a shame cause I would've taken Miranda in ;)
Also a tradition among the sixth form on charity day is to run a sort've game show/talent contest for the lower school. This year we continued with the pirate theme and did activites such as apple bobbing, a VERY messy 'what's in the box', a guess the 'piratized' celebrity, and a pirate quiz. Some year groups were very enthusiastic (mainly year 7's and year 8's cause it's still fairly new to them) However the older years tend to be a bit more subdued. But all in all it was lots of fun, and I was one of the helpers throughout the day which is good fun too.
I can't really remember much else that happened cause unfortunately this is a backblip. I remember Wind ensemble after school going okay, a little bit frustrating but it was alright. We were playing adagio for strings! Anyways this is a photo of one of the year sevens at the 'sixth form show'. This was part of the 'what's in the box' I think this was taken right after custard and before baked beans. I thought it'd be okay seeing as it's taken from behind, and his face is hidden anyways haha.
