Geilston Gardens, Cardross

LH was sent to Geilstone Gardens in Cardross today to record an area of internal walling. The Dundee job continues, but this was an emergency visit to help a colleague. The building is suffering terribly from dry rot, but the NTS have no money to sort the building out and open it to the public. As they systematically combat the areas of rot, we are brought in to record the wall as it survives beneath the rotting plaster, prior to any alterations.

Beautiful day and a day drawing small details is very different work from the back-breaking labour of Dundee.
