Perched Paddock

I learned something new today.We haven't really had a lot of rain lately,yet this paddock has been like this for weeks.So,I did some enquiring.It seems that during the earthquakes,some liqification made it through to the surface and some didn't.The stuff that didn't ,made an impervious layer below the surface.Any rain is then caught on top with nowhere to go.

I also think the water table has risen because rumours have it the casino is continually pumping out water from its underground carpark.Driving around town as well ,you notice that anyone with underground parking facilities is usually closed and some filled with green disgusting,probably mosquito infested water,great with the warmer weather on its way.
It appears we're not out of the woods yet!
