Natural Art - sculpted by wind and sea - Gozo

This area of sculpted sandstone and fossils is just at the mouth of the Xlendi inlet on Gozo. On the right is the top of one of the watch towers built in 1658. In 1961 two shipwrecks were discovered, at the mouth of the inlet, and were dated to about the 2nd century B.C. and 5th century A.D.
