Robin
This Robin gave me the complete run around this morning! He was singing beautifully in one of the bushes next to the bird table so I sneaked up, camera poised, and then - stood on a twig! Off he flew! Goddammit! A few minutes later when I'd moved to another spot in the garden he was back sitting in the bush watching me so I tried walking over with my back to him, slowly, slowly, easy does it but then he twigged on and disappeared over into the next garden. Another Goddammit! I then was taking photos of other birds including this Starling, this Wren with a brown caterpillar and one of many Blackbirds.
Eventually I spotted the Robin again singing and preening in the same bush as before so I managed to get close but all the twigs and branches were in the way so I had to use the Manual setting. This is the best out of a bad bunch. I hope one day to get some stunning Robin shots as good as my friend Emy (whose journal on Blipfoto is called Daily Wild).
