Cormorant

A walk along from Kirkwall to Carness. The birds of prey are more evident now on lowland and coastal sites as they abandon hill and moorland breeding areas. I saw a hen harrier, a kestrel and a juvenile peregrine. About 170 eider, 120 wigeon etc.

And cormorants, obviously.
