Toadflax

Following yeterday's accident I'm confined to barracks for a while with my leg up. I managed to escape at lunch to give the dog a quick walk (well, he was quick, I hobbled along behind). I went over to Glynde to get a look at the new, and highly controversial, wind turbine being erected above Glyndebourne Opera House and inside the new South Downs National Park. A blip one day I think but not today as it was rather flat and grey. On the way up the chalk ridge opposite I spied a few late flowering toadflax. I rather like toadflax, it resembles the garden snapdragon and has a nice egg yolk yellow colouring.
