Main Guard Post in Helsinki

This guy was on duty in the main guard. He must be freezing. I think the shift is two hours. I sat about 15 mins on a park bench having a phone chat with my father. After that I was deep-frozen eventhough I think I had more clothes than him.

When I did my service in the early eighties I also spend one night in the main guard. Luckily I didn't have to stand there. I wasn't in the cell either. I was assistant to the head of the guard or something very important anyways ;-)

However, today I visited few photo exhibitions in Helsinki. The best was Pekka Elomaa's exhibition at Luova gallery.
