Erase and Sync

I've been updating my iPad and iPod today with the new software released by Apple. I saw various tweets from people yesterday saying that it was taking forever, so left it until I had plenty of time.

However, I always get apprehensive when you see the message 'Erase and Sync' will I lose things forever? I did have a panic when my iPad seemed to lose all my apps and music, but thankfully I've recovered everything. I'm just erasing syncing my iPod now, scary! Lol!

Imagine if you could do that in real life, erase and sync your mind?!
