Signs of Summer

Today I saw the first Pohutukawa in bloom! Summer is coming people...this is our native Christmas tree.

We saw this on our way for the Eldest to have a play date. On the way home, we had an Auckland special - rain from nowhere. The Youngest and I both needed a full change of clothes.

We have an extra staying tonight. She has a constant dialogue that runs, and a vivid imagination. Yes...it is the Eldest's BFF. They cooked "Special Sausages" for themselves tonight, and devoured the lot. They're now having a Glee session in the wind down before bed.
