Hail

It can be a bit of a pain getting clothes dry in this town.

I came back from holiday on Monday with a rucksack full of dirty clothes and promptly stuck them in the washing machine. I've still not managed to dry them though.

I put them out on Wednesday evening, the forecast being daytime rain, only to have a torrential overnight downpour. I then left them out on Thursday and today, the forecast for today being evening showers, only to have a load of hail drop on them in the afternoon!

The Met Service is laughing all the way to the bank I tell you.

Anyway, I like the way the edges of some of the hailstones have turned translucent - it looks like something you'd see under a microscope.
