It's Remarkably Warm For October...

It really is, you know. Today we went on the train to Inverness. It was bright sunshine all the way and very warm. A group of middle aged woman carrying bags of booze and a "Happy 40th Birthday" balloon got on the train at our station and cracked open the drink almost before the train began moving. They were noisy, but not disruptive.

Inverness was marvellous. There was a street theatre festival on and two men were dressed as pensioners and scooting about the place on a Segway, playing loud dance music through a boom-box. The place had a real buzz.

The train trip home was less than enjoyable. A spoiled toddler was being a brat and screaming for the entire trip. Loud shrill noises and me don't get on. Very stressful.
