Sliding Ninja in the Morning

Bob is off from school this week. Today is his last day of Pirate Camp, which he has really enjoyed. He woke up quite early, so once he was fortified with a large bowl of Rice Chex and Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, we were off to explore the neighborhood with Bob wearing his Ninja shirt. Our neighbor commented that Bob is wearing a different costume every time he sees him. Bob likes the attention.

We live in a historic neighborhood of mostly small houses built from the 1920's-1950's. There are a number of houses that look like they need some love. But there are more that are well maintained, even if quirky. I like to see how people have landscaped their yards, as we are getting ready to move in to the outdoor phase of upgrading our house. There are side walks and the streets are mostly quiet. Bob rode his beloved bike while I struggled to keep up on foot.

We made it down to Coronado Park where we were alone at the playground. Except for a teenage couple that would kiss occasionally and Bob would utter a quiet, "Ewwww, they're kissing!"
