Ian Rankin inspired sculpture

Went to the National Library cafe, good coffee there and some interesting exhibitions. Today there was this sculpture in a glass case on a plinth at the top of the entrance stairs. it has been anonymously gifted to the National Library.

It says:
'For @natlibscot - A gift - in support of Libraries, Books, Words, Ideas..... (and against their exit)'

isnt that amazing! love it :)
Good on the person who made and gifted it.
